Establishing child playground

Overview

The Gungahlin Mosque is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of the community, including our youngest attendees. To support this vision, we are excited to announce the Child's Playground Project, a dedicated play space for children under the age of 10. This project aims to create a safe, fun, and educational area where children can engage in physical activity and social interaction while their families attend mosque activities.

Background

As part of our ongoing effort to enhance the facilities at Gungahlin Mosque, we recognised the need for a dedicated play area for children. Many families with young children attend the mosque for prayers, events, and social gatherings. However, there has been a growing demand for a secure space where children can play safely while their parents participate in mosque activities. The Child's Playground will address this need and become an essential part of the mosque’s family-friendly atmosphere.

Project Overview

The Child's Playground will be a secure, outdoor play area designed specifically for children under 10 years old. It will feature:

• Age-appropriate play equipment such as swings, slides, and climbing structures
• Safe, soft ground covering to prevent injuries
• Benches and seating for parents and guardians
• Fencing around the perimeter to ensure child safety
• A shaded area to protect children from the sun during playtime

This thoughtfully designed space will encourage physical activity, promote social interaction, and give families peace of mind knowing their children are playing in a safe environment.
