Summary of today's Khutbah
In this khutbah, we will reflect on how sins gradually become normalised in our daily lives through social influences, entertainment, and repeated exposure. We will discuss how sins affect our hearts, weaken our awareness of right and wrong. and how we can protect ourselves and return to Allah through sincere repentance.
Allah subhanaho wa ta’la says:
كَلَّا بَلْ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
Rather, the stain has covered their hearts because of what they used to commit.” (Qur’an 83:14)
The Prophet Mohammad (ﷺ) said:
كُلُّ بَنِي آدَمَ خَطَّاءٌ، وَخَيْرُ الْخَطَّائِينَ التَّوَّابُونَ
“Every son of Adam commits sins, and the best of those who commit sins are those who repent.” (Tirmidhi 2499)
