Summary of today's Khutbah
Allah says in the Qur’an:
إِنَّمَا الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ
(Surah An-Nisa
“The Messiah, Isa (عليه الصلاة والسلام ) son of Maryam, was only a Messenger of Allah.”
This verse reminds us that Isa (عليه الصلاة والسلام ) is a noble Prophet of Allah, born by His command. We believe in him, love him, and honour him without exaggeration and without denial.
In this Khutbah we will try and make the following clear:
- What does Islam say about Isa and his miraculous birth
- What’s our belief in relation to Isa?
- Are we allowed to participate in these celebrations? And our responsibility towards our children who are growing up and being educated here.
