Local Cricket Coaching

Canberra Cricket Academy (CCA) is a semi-volunteer organisation with a social (volunteer) business model, which offers Cricket Coaching and training mainly in Canberra, Australia through small groups, OneOnOne, club coaching and mentoring. CCA believes in new ideas and innovation while keeping natural talent and then implement Kumon approach to develop an elementary player’s up to the highest level. The vision of CCA is to create strong awareness among local communities for the importance of outdoor activities through training, development and playing cricket and offering healthy alternatives for Canberra communities, especially who are the first or second generation of Australians.  Masud Rahman, who is an engineering doctor, created this academy in 2014 where this centre caters not only for developing young talent in cricket but also offers cricket coaching and sports management skills of parents who are the ultimate contributor to bring their kids into sports. Dr Rahman has also been developing unique coaching styles and new coaching environment by amalgamating his strong biomechanics and mathematical problem-solving skills along with his strong cricket playing knowledge and experience at various levels and environments. It means a player will learn what would be the best possible way to send a ball outside of the ground, with a clear understanding of body motion, alignment between body and line of the ball and flexibility. In the meantime – learning does not help to executive the skills during a game situation – CCA coaches to train and master this skill to the players and the player will know when and where to execute the shot. CCA will also offer you a unique technique and approach towards coaching your young or senior players and develop the required skills as quickly as possible. CCA has more interest in the long-term contract of a player than a short-term training schedule – what does it mean to us – please consider sending your children for at least a year term. CCA primarily promotes girls and the first generation of immigrants into cricket and offer financially viable options for them so that they can integrate into mainstream society ASAP. If you have any financial difficulties – CCA may consider scholarship for eligible players. In the end, CCA ensures that players are enjoying their sports by creating a friendly and sporty environment.
